Building a Supplement Stack on a KES 10,000 Budget
By The EVΛFIT team. Published 30 July 2026.
KES 10,000 is enough for a genuinely useful starting stack if it's spent on the two supplements with the strongest evidence behind them, rather than spread thin across five different tubs that each do a little. Whey protein and creatine monohydrate are that pair, and together they typically leave room in that budget for both to last two to three months.
A rough, realistic split: roughly KES 6,000–7,000 on a 900g–1kg whey tub, and the remaining KES 3,000–4,000 on a 300–500g creatine tub. Exact pricing moves with the brand and the shilling, but that ratio — most of the budget on protein, a smaller slice on creatine — holds up well as a starting rule.
Skip pre-workout at this budget unless training motivation or energy is a genuine, specific problem for you. It's the least essential item on the list relative to its cost, and the KES 1,500–2,500 it typically takes is better spent extending how long your protein and creatine last.
Buying the largest reasonably-priced tub of each, rather than a smaller one 'to try it first', usually works out cheaper per gram — cost per serving, not price on the shelf, is what your budget should be measured against.
If your budget genuinely doesn't stretch to both in one order, protein comes first — it's solving the harder problem (a daily gap that food often can't close) while creatine, useful as it is, is more of a compounding bonus over months than an immediate necessity.
Whatever you land on, check the same things regardless of price: a factory seal that hasn't been reapplied, a batch code that verifies where the brand offers it, and a seller who can tell you plainly where the stock came from.
