Buying Supplements Online in Kenya: A 10-Point Safety Checklist
By The EVΛFIT team. Published 22 October 2026.
Before you order
1. A real business behind the page. Look for a business name, a town or address, a phone number, an email and written delivery and returns policies. A page with only a chat button and no policies leaves you with nowhere to go if something is wrong.
2. A price that makes sense. Compare the price with two or three other sellers. A price far below the others is the most common sign of a fake or an expired product.
3. Where the stock comes from. Ask where the product is imported from and whether it comes from the manufacturer or a distributor the manufacturer works with. A seller who can't answer is a warning sign.
4. Photos of the real product. Ask for a photo of the tub you will receive, showing the seal and the best-before date.
5. Clear delivery fee and time. You should know the delivery fee and the expected time before you pay. At EVΛFIT, delivery takes 1 to 2 business days in Nairobi and 2 to 4 elsewhere in Kenya, and checkout shows the fee for your county before you confirm.
Paying
6. Cash on delivery is the easiest protection. It lets you check the product before you pay. At EVΛFIT you pay on delivery with M-Pesa or cash, anywhere in Kenya.
7. Check the name before you pay by M-Pesa. When you enter a Till, Paybill or phone number, M-Pesa shows the registered name before you confirm. Make sure it matches the business you are buying from.
When it arrives
8. Check the seal and the batch number at the door. Do it before you pay or sign. The tub should be sealed, with a batch number and a best-before date. Our guide to spotting fake supplements has the full list of checks.
9. Keep your proof. Keep the receipt, the order number and the chat. With EVΛFIT you can follow an order on our order tracking page with the order number and your phone number.
10. Know the returns rules before you buy. Ours are: report a wrong item, damage or a broken seal within 48 hours for a replacement or refund, and sealed, unopened products can be returned within 7 days. Details are on our delivery and returns page.

Quick answers
- Is cash on delivery safer when buying supplements online?
- It lets you check the seal, batch number and best-before date before you pay, which is the main protection. Do the check at the door.
- How do I check an M-Pesa Till or Paybill name before paying?
- When you enter the number, M-Pesa shows the registered name before you confirm. Make sure it matches the business you are buying from.
- How long does supplement delivery take in Kenya?
- It depends on the seller. At EVΛFIT, delivery takes 1 to 2 business days in Nairobi and 2 to 4 business days elsewhere in Kenya; checkout shows the fee for your county.
- What should I check on a supplement when it arrives?
- Check that the seal is intact, that there is a batch number and best-before date printed on the pack, and that the label matches the brand's own photos. If something is wrong, don't use it and contact the seller straight away.
